● Colorless liquid with almond smell. It turns yellow in the air after long exposure to dew. The relative density is 1.055, the boiling point is 248°C, the refractive index is 1.5700, and the viscosity is similar to dibutyl phthalate. Soluble in water and organic solvents.
● It is mainly used to manufacture high-performance epoxy resin curing agents that are heat-resistant, non-toxic, underwater construction, and quickly cured by heating. It is the raw material for polyurethane resin and synthetic functional epoxy resin. It is also used in rubber additives, photosensitive plastics, and pesticides. It is also used in coatings, nylon products, fiber finishing agents, rust inhibitors, chelating agents, lubricants, paper processing, etc.
● Used in epoxy resin, photosensitive nylon, polyurethane coatings, etc.
● The mixture of m- and p-xylene is used as raw material and undergoes ammoxidation reaction with air and ammonia to generate m- and terephthalonitrile. After washing with water and drying, catalytic hydrogenation is carried out in ethanol and potassium hydroxide solvents at a pressure of 4.5MPa and 90°C. The catalyst is removed from the reaction solution, ethanol is recovered, and distilled under reduced pressure to obtain meta- and para-xylylenediamine.
