●  Monobenzone was synthesized by using hydroquinone, sodium hydroxide and benzyl chloride as raw materials and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent under microwave irradiation. The effects of molar ratio of reactants, microwave radiation power and radiation time on the yield of monobenzone were investigated by single factor experiment. The experimental results show that: when n (benzyl chloride): n (hydroquinone): n (sodium hydroxide) = 1: 1.4: 1.4, DMF15mL, microwave radiation power is 320W, radiation time is 60s, monobenzene The yield was 63.79%.

●  Add 2.63g (0.028mol) of hydroquinone to a 100mL conical flask, weigh 1.12g (0.028mol) of sodium hydroxide, add 8mL of water, and add dropwise to the solution containing hydroquinone after the sodium hydroxide is dissolved. In the conical flask, shake well, then add 15 mL of DMF and 2.52 g (0.02 mol) of benzyl chloride, and irradiate the reaction for 60 s under the condition of microwave radiation power of 320 W. After the reaction was completed, it was cooled to room temperature. First, adjust to alkaline with 10% sodium hydroxide, filter with suction, and wash the filter cake with 10% sodium hydroxide until the filtrate is colorless (the filter cake is hydroquinone dibenzyl ether, which can be recycled). The filtrate was acidified with hydrochloric acid to completely separate out monobenzone. After suction filtration and washing with ice water, the filtrate was recrystallized with alcohol and water, and decolorized with activated carbon to obtain 2.55 g of white solid with a yield of 63.79%.
