• Industrial Applications: Functions as a chelating agent and dispersant in water treatment, detergents, and drilling muds; used in metal cleaning, electroplating, and phosphatizing.

• Laboratory & Biochemical: Acts as a buffering agent and a protease/phosphatase inhibitor in biochemical assays.
