● Liquid Scintillation Counting Reactants 2,2'-(2,5-thiophenediyl)bis[5-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-Benzoxazole
120kg of chlorobenzene was put into the reactor, and 21kg of o-amino-p-tert-butylphenol was added. 19 kg of chloromethyliminoethyl ether hydrochloride was slowly added dropwise with stirring at room temperature. After dripping, the temperature was raised and refluxed. The reaction is carried out for 3 to 4 hours. Chloroform was recovered. About 24 kg of brown oil were obtained. Add 200kg of water to the vulcanization kettle, then add 45kg of sodium disulfide and 0.5kg of PTC (as a phase transfer catalyst). After stirring and dissolving, it was cooled to 10° C., the dichloromethane solution of the above reactant was added dropwise, and the mixture was stirred by Chemicalbook for 10 h, left to stand for stratification, and the organic layer was washed with water. Dichloromethane was recovered and about 23 kg of yellow solid were obtained. This was dissolved in 100 kg of dimethyl sulfoxide and 2.8 kg of glyoxal were added. Under nitrogen protection, the mixture was cooled to 0 °C with stirring, and 20 kg of 30% sodium methoxide methanol solution was added dropwise. The reaction is carried out for 5 to 6 hours. The material was acidified with 1:2 dilute hydrochloric acid to pH 5-6, methanol was evaporated under reduced pressure, cooled and filtered, the filter cake was washed with water until neutral, and dried. Recrystallize with ethyl acetate to obtain fluorescent whitening agent OB.
