Introduction

Osthole is a substance extracted from the fruit of the annual herb Cnidium of the Umbelliferae, the appearance is yellow-green to white crystalline powder, insoluble in water and cold petroleum ether, easily soluble in acetone, methanol, ethanol, chloroform , chloroform, ethyl acetate, soluble in boiling petroleum ether, with antispasmodic, hypotensive, antiarrhythmic, immune enhancement and broad-spectrum antibacterial effects. Clinically, it is mainly used to treat male impotence, scrotal itching, vaginal itching in women, cold uterus, infertility, rheumatic arthralgia, scabies, eczema, and trichomonas vaginitis. Osthole can also be used as field insecticides and fungicides, mainly for contact killing, supplemented by stomach poisoning.
